A number of Elphinstone PhD Scholarships are available across the arts, humanities and social sciences, linked to specific, individual research projects. These Scholarships cover the entirety of tuition fees for a PhD student of any nationality commencing full-time study in October 2015, for the three-year duration of their studies.

PhD Scholarships in the College of Social Sciences at the University of Glasgow
The College of Social Sciences at the University of Glasgow has announced the availability of 24 PhD scholarships for 2015/16.
Some of the key areas of research focus in the College include human rights, social justice, and refugees, asylum and migration. These are supported by the Glasgow Human Rights Network and the Glasgow Refugee, Asylum and Migration Network which include a wide range of staff from a number of disciplines available to supervise PhDs. Doctoral research fellowships in Politics and Society in the Middle East at University of Oslo
Two PhD Research Fellowships in Politics and Society in the Middle East are available at the Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages, University of Oslo.
The persons appointed will be affiliated with the Faculty’s organized research training. The academic work is to result in a doctoral thesis that will be defended at the Faculty with a view to obtaining the degree of PhD. The successful candidates are expected to join the existing research milieu or network and contribute to its development.
